16 January 2024

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

The burst is impacting the water supply to customers in parts of Kilpedder and surrounding areas

Uisce Eireann, working in partnership with Dublin City Council &Wicklow County Council has identified a large burst on a water main on the N11 Kilpedder Northbound, exit L5056. Every effort is being made to maintain supply to as many customers as possible, as the burst is impacting the water supply to customers in parts of Kilpedder and surrounding areas.

To safely progress the repairs and restore supply, restrictions will be necessary until early tomorrow morning and there will be a temporary road closure on exit L5056 (N11 Northbound) to facilitate these essential repairs. During these hours, households and businesses in parts of Kilpedder and surrounding areas may experience lower than normal pressure and/or intermittent water outages, especially those on higher ground or at the end of the network.

The burst is causing low pressure and outages for some customers in the following areas: Killiskey, Nuns Cross, Timmore Lane, Coynes Cross, Kilmacnogue, Kilmurray, Kilcroney Lane, Kilcoole, Woodstock and areas that directly feed off the 24” water main between Callowhill and Jamenson Corner.

Every effort is being made to restore the water supply as quickly as possible, however, the repairs are complex due to the location of the burst and the presence of other underground services. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
