Procurement

Our mission is to seek to source the most cost-effective solutions for all Uisce Éireann sourcing activities. We can then maximise the benefits for the company by developing competitive sourcing processes and building relationships with our key suppliers.

Our key focus areas

The three pillars that we focus our objectives on are:

  • To secure value-for-money

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and governance requirements

  • Minimise risk for our business

From 1st January 2014, Uisce Éireann assumed responsibility for the provision and management of water and wastewater services in Ireland. As a result, Uisce Éireann is responsible for paying suppliers serving the public water and wastewater services sector.

iSupplier Portal

Uisce Éireann utilises an iSupplier portal to automate the processing of invoices and give suppliers greater visibility of their Purchase Orders. This portal is an online self-service tool, which gives suppliers the ability to directly access information and enter business transactions across the procure-to-pay life cycle.

Supplier Sustainability Charter

Uisce Éireann’s Supplier Sustainability Charter outlines our commitment to Sustainability across our Supply Chain and further supports  our overarching Sustainability Framework.

Sustainability – Collaborating with our Supply Chain

Uisce Éireann is addressing the sustainability agenda as a top priority, and we wish to ensure that our supply chain partners are equipped with the right knowledge to assist in meeting our collective sustainability ambitions. As a founding partner of the Sustainability School in Ireland, we encourage all our supply chain partners to register as members of the school for free below. The Supply Chain Sustainability School provides our partners with a wide range of online resources, such as CPD-accredited e-learning modules and sustainability short videos, on key issues such as modern slavery, sustainable procurement, circular economy, biodiversity, carbon reporting, EDI, and social value.
