Nighttime restrictions continue in Clogh Castlecomer

19 December 2022

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann and Kilkenny County Council wish to advise customers in the Clogh Castlecomer area that night time restrictions on their water supply will be in place again tonight, December 19, from 10pm to 7am.

We regret any inconvenience as a result of this issue which is necessary due to a significant increase in demand in the area following the thaw.

James O'Toole of Uisce Éireann said: “Crews are on the ground working to repair  leaks and restore normal water supply as quickly as possible. In the meantime we thank the local community for their patience and ask them to continue to conserve water by turning off taps and checking for leaks in outside taps, farm troughs or unoccupied premises. If anyone notices a leak in the public network they should report it to Uisce Éireann via our website or by calling 1800 278 278.”

A Boil Water Notice which was issued for Clogh Castlecomer on Friday remains in place. See our dedicated Boil Water Notice page for details.

Localised updates about water supply issues are available on our website or via Twitter @IWCare. The Uisce Éireann Customer Care Team is also available to help 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
