Traffic Management

To facilitate the safe delivery of works, there will be some short term local road closures and traffic management in place during delivery.

  • Phase 1: Parson Street from the University entrance to Meadowbrook Lawns will be delivered under a road closure which will be notified in advance. Local access will be maintained. Diversion routes will be in place and clearly sign posted.
  • Phase 2: Mill Street from the Junction of Parson Street and Millstreet to St. Mary’s Church will be delivered with a lane closure with a shuttle system in place operated by flag men 24 hours over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The works may involve some short-term water shut offs and the project team will ensure that customers are given a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to any planned water shut offs.

We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and works crews will make every effort to minimise any disruption these necessary works cause.

Residents and businesses in the areas to benefit from the planned improvements will be notified directly and customers call our customer care helpline on 1850 278 278 with any questions about the project.

We regret inconvenience these necessary water network improvements may cause. Details of any supply interruptions associated to this project will be updated regularly on the Water Supply Updates section.
