Repairs are being conducted as quickly and as efficiently as possible to minimise disruption and restore water supply

Uisce Éireann is working with Mayo County Council to restore water supply to customers supplied by Louisburgh Public Water Supply following a mechanical issue at the water treatment plant.

Dedicated water services crews are on site and every effort is being made to reduce the impact on homes and businesses and restore normal water supply as quickly as possible. Water supply is expected to be restored by 8am tomorrow. Typically, it takes two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.

Ronan Mc Donnell, Uisce Éireann, commented: “The repairs are being conducted as quickly and as efficiently as possible to minimise disruption and restore the water supply to homes and businesses.

Ronan continued: “We understand the inconvenience an unplanned outage can have and we appreciate your patience as we work to return normal water supply to all impacted customers.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
