Previous Updates

Uisce Éireann is working with Kerry County Council to restore water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers following a burst to a large watermain.

The burst may be impacting approximately 600 customers in Fermoyle, Gowlane, Stradbally,  Tullig, Carrigadav, Killiney, Castlegregory village, Maharees, Fahamore, Killshannig, Scraggane and surrounding areas.

An assessment of the burst and resulting damage to the pipe will need to be undertaken before restoration time can be confirmed, however, we will provide a further update as the works progress. Following repairs, it may take 2 to 3 hours for normal water supply to return to all customers as water refills the network.

Water Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann, Oliver Harney said: “The repairs are being conducted as quickly and as safely as possible to minimise disruption and restore the water supply to homes and businesses. We understand the inconvenience an unplanned outage can have, and we appreciate your patience as we work to return normal water supply to all impacted customers.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
