Staleen Water Treatment Water Storage Upgrade

Uisce Éireann is progressing plans to increase the storage capacity at the Staleen Water Treatment Plant by constructing a new treated water storage reservoir. This will safeguard the drinking water supply in the Navan/Mid Meath and East Meath/ South Louth region.

Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Meath County Council, is progressing plans to construct a new treated water storage reservoir at the Staleen Water Treatment Plant. A treated water storage deficit exists across the region South Louth & East Meath Water Supply Zone which results in a loss of supply to the area during planned or unplanned interruptions to production at the Staleen Water Treatment. Uisce Éireann intends to address this issue by constructing a new treated water storage reservoir adjacent to the existing Staleen Water Treatment Plant. This investment will improve the security of the drinking water supply for South Louth and East Meath.
