St. Johnston Water Mains Replacement

Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Donegal County Council, is replacing problematic water mains in St. Johnston, Lifford, Co. Donegal to provide a more reliable water supply and reduce high levels of leakage.

About this project

The works involve the replacement of over 174 metres of problematic water mains with high density polyethylene (plastic) pipes. The programme to replace the water mains in St. Johnston, Lifford will begin on week commencing 10th June 2019. These works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme.

Where the existing service connections on the public side are lead these will be replaced as part of this improvement work.
