• Will improve the water quality in the receiving waters
  • Cleaner water will enhance Liscannor’s amenity value and act as a platform for social and economic development
  • Project will ensure that the water quality standards set down by regulatory bodies will be achieved
  • The new pipes, pumping stations and new treatment plant have all been sized to accommodate an increase in the local population and will facilitate growth on the area


  • Construction of a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) that will serve a population equivalent of 1,500
  • A new wastewater pumping station
  • A new terminal pumping station with a storm water storage tank
  • Sewer pipelines to bring untreated wastewater to the WWTP and treated wastewater to the existing outfall
  • The existing outfall pipe will safely discharge the treated wastewater to  Liscannor Bay
  • This project is currently in the detailed design stage
