Works underway to resolve supply issues at Palmerstown Reservoir

21 June 2021

Uisce Éireann is working with Fingal County Council to restore normal water supply to customers supplied by Palmerstown reservoir following an interruption in the supply to the reservoir. Due to high demand the water level in the Palmerstown reservoir has not fully recovered.

In order to allow levels to recover fully, customers in the following areas may experience low water pressure and in some instances water outage throughout today and overnight until 9am tomorrow morning Tuesday 22 June; Oberstown; Man O War; Courtlough and surrounding areas.

An Alternative Water Supply (IBC Container) is in place at Man O War Public House carpark. While every effort to ensure that the alternative drinking water supply provided, including the IBC and dispensing tap, are adequately disinfected people are advised to boil this water before use.

Uisce Éireann is working at this time, with our Local Authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of both staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services. Uisce Éireann would like to remind people to follow the HSE COVID-19 advice and ensure frequent handwashing.
