Works underway to repair a burst watermain in Donore
Repair works in partnership with Louth County Council
Irish Water is working in partnership with Louth County Council to repair a burst watermain impacting Donore and surrounding areas. Crews are working to repair the watermain as quickly and as safely as possible.
The repair is expected to be completed today, however, it may take 2-3 hours for normal water supply to return to all customers as the network refills. Customers may be impacted by disruption to their water supply while the repair is underway but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.
Irish Water and Louth County Council understands the inconvenience when a burst occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to repair the burst and restore normal supply to impacted customers. Irish Water and Louth County Council regret any inconvenience caused.
As Ireland, our communities and our businesses, respond to the challenges of COVID-19, Irish Water is working at this time, with our local authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of drinking water and wastewater services.
The latest updates on the repair will be available on our supply and service section of our website. The Irish Water customer care helpline is open 24/7 and customers can call us on 1850 278 278.
