Water supply restored in Ballina following burst water main

04 April 2023

Uisce Éireann and Mayo County Council have successfully completed repairs following a water mains burst in Ballina.

The majority of customers affected will see their water supply return shortly while a number of homes and businesses may experience an intermittent supply while the network fully recharges. It typically takes two to three hours following repairs for full supply to restore to all customers affected by a water supply outage.

Ger Greally, Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, thanked customers for their patience while work was underway.

Our teams conducted the repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption. We understand the inconvenience an outage can have on customers, and we appreciate their co-operation.
