Changes to business charges

The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) is holding public consultations on Irish Water's proposed framework for future business charges which will harmonise charges nationwide. The consultation is open to all until 15 August 2018 and we are urging business customers and their representative groups to have your say.

Irish Water manage all aspects of business water accounts in Ireland including billing for water services. For additional services, for example sludge removal, we issue separate bills under separate Irish Water account numbers. Contact us to request additional services.

You can make payments easily using a My Water online account. A My Water online account allows you to view and pay your bills, sign up for paperless billing and set up a Direct Debit.

Trade Effluent

Trade effluent is any liquid waste (other than domestic wastewater and storm water) that is discharged from a business premises to the public sewers. To discharge trade effluent to the sewer, you must apply for a Trade Effluent Discharge to Sewer Licence.
