Old Connaught-Woodbrook Water Supply Scheme
Uisce Éireann is continuing works on the Old Connaught-Woodbrook Water Supply Scheme.
Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and Wicklow County Councils, is upgrading the drinking water infrastructure supplying the Old Connaught-Woodbrook Water Supply Scheme.
Once completed, this project will provide network resilience and flexibility for Southeast Dublin (Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council) and parts of North County Wicklow.
Ward and Burke Construction Limited is delivering this project on behalf of Uisce Éireann. The Old Connaught Woodbrook Water Supply Scheme is due to be complete in Q3 2024.
What's involved in this project?
The following works are being carried out as part of this project:
- Constructing two new state of the art reservoirs - the Low Level Reservoir and
- the High Level Reservoir
- Installing approximately 13km of new watermains
- Associated ancillary works

- Improve the security of drinking water supply in the area and benefit homes and
- Assist businesses
- Support future development in the area
- Serve approximately 13,600 existing customers and cater for project growth up to approximately 46,700 customers
Details of Upcoming Works:
Reinstatement works and all associated traffic management measures are now complete.
