Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Carlow County Council, has replaced problematic water mains in Bagenalstown Road, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow to provide a more reliable water supply and reduce high levels of leakage.

The works involved the replacement of approximately 190 metres of problematic water mains with new modern pipes. The programme to replace the water mains along Bagenalstown Road, Leighlinbridge commenced in late-April. These works were carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme.

The section of works took place along Bagenalstown Road (R705) from the Vivaldi Garden to St. Lazerian's National School.

The works were carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by ShareRidge and were completed by early-May.
