Works progress to improve Donore Road Industrial Estate water supply

30 August 2021

Update - These works have been extended to 10:00pm today, Monday 30 August. Customers may continue to experience temporary disruption to supply.

Uisce Éireann is working in partnership with Louth County Council to carry out essential hydrant replacement works securing the water supply for customers in Donore Road Industrial Estate and surrounding areas. While works are ongoing customers in the Donore Road Industrial Estate and Matthews Lane will experience water outages, while surrounding areas of Platin Road, Bryanstown, Sunnyside, Dublin Road, Marian Park and Ballsgrove may experience low water pressure for short periods today, Thursday 26 August, between 9:00am and 6:00pm.

When works are completed it may take 2-3 hours for normal water supply to return to all customers but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.

Speaking about the works, Donal Heaney, Uisce Éireann said, “Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience caused when works occur and thanks customers for their patience while we complete these essential works to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses in these areas.”

Uisce Éireann is working at this time with our local authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of drinking water and wastewater services.
