Uisce Éireann crews are continuing works to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in Erris following a power outage at the local water treatment plant associated with Storm Boelo.
While power has been restored at Erris Water Treatment Plant, due to the prolonged downtime, water outages will continue tonight and into tomorrow as treated water levels recover and the network returns to normal operation.
Customers in Blacksod, Ballyglass, Toorglass, Attycunnane, Inver, Pullathomas, Doohoma, Foxpoint, Carrowmore, Glencullen, Muings, Briska, Bellacorrick, Keenagh, Glenamoy, Rossport, Carrowtigue, Killgalligan and surrounding areas may continue to experience an interruption to their water supply as a result.
Every effort is being made to restore full water supply as quickly as possible. In the meantime, customers with water supply across the scheme are being asked to conserve water where possible while restoration works continue.
Alternative Water Supplies will be put in place to assist customers without water, with locations to be confirmed tomorrow morning.
