We're working to restore supply to customers in elevated areas of Clonmel

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in Clonmel after operational issues associated with Storm Boelo resulted in reduced treated water levels at the Glenary Water Treatment Plant.

Customers in elevated areas supplied by the Glenary Water Treatment Plant may experience an interruption to their water supply as a result.

Uisce Éireann’s Anthony Phelan has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned interruption to supply and we thank customers for their patience and understanding while our crews work to restore normal supply.”

Crews are carrying out repair works, which are expected to be completed by 10pm tonight. Once repairs are complete, the network will begin to recharge and supply will return gradually to affected customers.

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Customers can register as a vulnerable customer or alternative contact on our Vulnerable Customers page.
