Water supply returning in Leixlip, Maynooth and Celbridge following repair works overnight
Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Leixlip, Maynooth, Celbridge, and surrounding areas this morning following the completion of repair works on a burst water main overnight.
Repairs to the burst on the R148, east of Collinstown industrial park, were completed earlier this morning and supply is now returning to normal for impacted customers.
Daniel Kennedy of Uisce Éireann thanked impacted customers for their understanding while crews worked to repair the burst and restore supply.
“We understand the inconvenience caused by an unplanned outage and we wish to thank impacted customers for their patience,” he said.
Typically, it can take three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all properties after an unplanned outage. Customers located at the end of the network or on higher ground may experience longer restoration times as the system recharges.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. To register as a vulnerable customer or as an alternative contact, visit our vulnerable customer section.
