Water supply returning to customers in North Leitrim
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is continuing to return to customers on the Kinlough–Tullaghan Public Water Supply Scheme in North Leitrim today. This follows operational issues at Glenade Water Treatment Plant which crews worked to rectify yesterday.
However, customers in higher elevation areas may continue to experience loss of supply or low water pressure until reservoirs fully recharge later this evening, as full reservoir levels are required to restore pressure to elevated sites.
An alternative water supply has been made available for impacted customers at Kinlough NS and will remain in place until full supply returns to all customers. Customers are reminded to bring their own containers and to boil the water before use as a precautionary measure.
Uisce Éireann’s Kevin Love thanked customers for their ongoing patience as reservoir levels continue to replenish over the course of the day.
“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned disruption and thank customers for their patience while crews worked to address turbidity issues at the plant and restore supply on the Kinlough-Tullaghan Public Water Supply Scheme.”
Customers who are experiencing a disruption to their water supply from this evening onwards are advised to contact Uisce Éireann’s Customer Care Team, which is available 24/7 on 1800 278 278. Customers can also contact @IWCare on X.
