Overnight water restrictions

The current spell of warm weather has led to a significant increase in water use in areas across the country. Overnight restrictions are necessary in the below areas to help maintain daytime supplies for local communities:

Overnight restrictions are in place from 10pm until 6:30am at:

  • Marshalstown

  • Ballydelough
  • Ballyanaha
  • Derryvillane
  • Ballylegan

  • Nutgrove
  • Ballindangan
  • Castleterry
  • Johnstown
  • Glanworth

Restrictions are also in place in Fortgrady & Knockbrack, Banteer until 4pm on 14 August 2026.

Overnight restrictions are in place from 5pm until 9am at: 

  • Inis Mór
    • Cregacareen Water Treatment Plant
    • Kilcarna Water Treatment Plant

Intermittent overnight restrictions are in place from 9pm to 9am at: 

  • Clogh
  • Moonenroe
  • Arda
  • Massford
  • Coolbaun
  • Castlecomer Town

Overnight restrictions in place at:

  • Uregare, Goat Island, Greenmount, Dromin and surrounding areas: 10pm until 8am
  • Castletown, Ballyagran: 10pm until 8am
  • Cappamore Foileen: 10pm until 8am
  • Bruee and surrounding areas: 10pm until 8am
  • Ballylanders and surrounding areas: 10pm until 8am
  • Knocklong, Garryspillane, Herbertstown and Pallasgreen: 10pm until 7am

Overnight restrictions are in place at:

  • Old Road, Cahir Road Cashel and surrounding areas: 8pm until 8am
  • Newcastle, Middlequarter, Killnacarriga, Flemingstown, Magherareagh, Gormanstown, Castlegrace, Ballyknockan, Coolbawn, Kilnacomma, Ballybrada, Killinure, Gaintsgrave, Chancellorstown, Dishoge, Ballingarrane: 8pm until 10am
  • Ballyglass, Lisnagaul, Ardlomen, Bruis, Rathkea, Clonpet, Toor, Kilross, Ballywire, Lattin, Moanmore, Tulla, Coolboy, Emly, Ballynaveen, Drumcomoge, Shronell, Ballycohy, Ballinard, Glenbane: 7pm untill 7am
