Uisce Éireann carrying out repairs to East Meath burst

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in East Meath following a major burst.
Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Bey Beg, Colp East, Pilltown, Ballymad, Stameen, Donacarney Little, Mornington, Donacarney Great, Bettystown, Sevitsland, Ministown, Julianstown, Smithstown, Ninch, Laytown, Ballygarth, Whitecross, Corballis, Claristown and surrounding areas in Co. Meath.

Repairs are expected to be complete by 10.30pm tonight.

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann’s Michael Cunniffe assured customers that repairs will be carried out as quickly as possible.

We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We are working to restore normal supply across East Meath,” Michael said.
