Supply returning to affected customers in Wicklow following a water outage

Uisce Éireann crews have resolved the operational issue at Vartry Water Treatment Plant and water supply is now being restored to homes and businesses in Co Wicklow.
Customers who were impacted in Fassaroe, Ballyphilip, Kilpedder, Downs, Delgany, Kilmacanoge, Timmore, Ballinahinch, Newtown Mount Kennedy, and surrounding areas will see their water supply return over the course of the afternoon.
Providing an update, Daniel Kennedy of Uisce Éireann said: "We are pleased to confirm that the issue at Vartry Water Treatment Plant has been resolved, and water is now being restored to customers across the affected areas. Those living at the end of the network or in higher areas may experience a longer wait for their water supply to fully return. We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding while crews worked to resolve the issue and restore supply as quickly as possible."

Homes and businesses in parts of Co Wicklow may be experiencing a disruption to their water supply this morning due to an operational issue at Vartry Water Treatment Plant.
Our crews are on site now working to restore normal water supply, however customers in Fassaroe, Ballyphilip, Kilpedder, Downs, Delgany, Kilmacanoge, Timmore, Ballinahinch, Newtown Mount Kennedy and surrounding areas may have their water supply impacted today.
Every effort is being made to return water to customers as soon as we can.
Providing an update Daniel Kennedy of Uisce Éireann said: “We understand how disruptive it is to wake up and find that your water supply has been interrupted, particularly on a Saturday when families are going about their weekend.
“Our crews have been working since early this morning to resolve the issue and restore water to the community as quickly as possible. We hope to have a normal supply restored later this evening. We really appreciate the patience and understanding shown by customers while these repairs are being carried out.”
