Supply disruptions in Kiltimagh as reservoir levels recover
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann customers in Kiltimagh may be experiencing disruption to their water supply this evening as a result of an unplanned outage on the local network.
An interruption to the water treatment process during reservoir cleaning at the Kiltimagh Water Treatment Plant has led to a drop in reservoir levels, and some customers in the town may be experiencing low pressure or other supply disruptions as a result.
High demand due to the fine weather is also placing supplies under strain. Uisce Éireann is appealing to customers in Kiltimagh and surrounding areas to be mindful of their water use this evening to allow reservoir levels to recover.
Supply is expected to return to normal levels overnight; however, it may take until Wednesday morning for full supply to return to impacted customers.
Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann said some customers may continue to experience supply issues tonight while reservoir levels are replenishing.
“It will take some time for the network to recharge, and we appeal to customers to be mindful of their water usage tonight,” said Colette. “We understand the frustration caused by unplanned outages and we thank impacted customers for the patience.”
