Water supply has returned to normal levels in the Tallagh area of Belmullet this morning after the successful repair of a burst water main.

Repairs were completed at approximately 11pm and the network successfully recharged overnight.

Traffic management measures at Tallagh Crossroads were necessary for the works to be carried out safely. Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann thanked impacted customers and road users for their co-operation while repairs were underway.

“This was a significant and complex repair which required our crews to work late into the night to complete,” said Colette.

“We acknowledge the inconvenience that a burst such as this can cause and we wish to thank impacted customers for their understanding while repairs were underway.”
