Potential water supply disruptions in Gort an Choirce and An Fál Carrach following power interruptions
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann is advising customers in Gort an Choirce, An Fál Carrach, and surrounding areas that power interruptions early this morning have impacted operations at the water treatment plant.
While a generator is in place on site, the power interruption caused mechanical issues at the plant. These issues are currently being investigated and resolved by Uisce Éireann crews. Customers may experience supply disruptions over the course of the day as crews work to restore normal operations at the plant.
Damien O’Sullivan, Uisce Éireann, said: “We are aware of operational issues at the water treatment plant following power interruptions earlier today. Our crews are actively working to investigate and resolve the issues. We regret any inconvenience this situation may cause and want to assure customers that our team is working as quickly as possible to get the plant back into production and allow reservoirs recharge.”
