Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water supply to customers in Bellewstown and surrounding areas following planned overnight works in Duleek, which were completed early Thursday morning. The works form part of an ongoing investment to strengthen the local water network and provide a more reliable and resilient water supply for the community.
Customers in Bellewstown and surrounding areas of Co Meath may experience low water pressure or temporary supply disruptions while the water network recharges following the works. The network is recovering more slowly than anticipated due to localised network constraints in these areas, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
To support impacted customers, an alternative water supply in the form of a bowser is available in Bellewstown at the Racecourse and Woodview Housing Estate. Bottled water is also available at Woodview Housing Estate. Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
Uisce Éireann’s Declan Healy has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible.
“We acknowledge the impact of unplanned outages for our customers, particularly in warm weather. The majority of customers had supply back yesterday. However, for some customers at the end of network or on higher ground, it may take longer before full supply returns as the system recharges. It is expected supplies will be fully restored by Saturday evening.
“We have made alternative supplies available for impacted customers which will remain in place until supply returns to everyone. I want to thank affected customers for their understanding while we work to restore normal supply.”

Uisce Éireann is advising of a planned nighttime water outage which may impact customers in Staleen, Duleek, Donore, Dardistown and surrounding areas of Meath from 8pm tonight (Wednesday,15 July) until 6am on Thursday, 16 July.
The outage is necessary to facilitate watermain rehabilitation works. The works have been scheduled to nighttime to limit disruption to the local community.
Uisce Éireann’s Declan Healy said: “We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. We would like to thank our customers in advance for their patience and co-operation while we carry out these essential works on the network.”
Following the completion of the works, it can take three to four hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on higher ground or at the end of the network.
