Essential overnight water restrictions in areas of North County Dublin

Uisce Éireann wishes to advise customers in parts of North County Dublin and the Bayside/Baldoyle areas of overnight supply restrictions.

These necessary restrictions will be in place from 10pm tonight until 6am tomorrow morning, Thursday, 28 May, in an effort to conserve treated water and maintain a daytime supply.

During these times, customers in the affected areas may experience reduced water pressure or interruptions to supply, especially for those living in elevated areas.

The affected areas include: Balbriggan - Hastings, Bremore Pastures, Bracken Wood, New Haven, Dun Saithne, Moylaragh, Clonuske, Glebe North; Skerries - Sherlock Park, Saint Patricks, Mourne View, Kellys Bay; Malahide - Seamount, Mountfield, Saint Sylvesters, Limetree Ave, Dalriada; Howth - Bayside and Baldoyle.

Given the increased demand and dry weather, we need to ensure a daytime water supply is available for homes and businesses while we allow reservoir levels time to recover overnight. We continue to ask customers to be mindful of their water usage during this time. 

Typically, it takes two to three hours for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
