Essential maintenance works to safeguard supply taking place in Inishowen this week

Uisce Éireann is advising customers in Inishowen that essential reservoir cleaning works are being carried out this week.

These planned works are part of Uisce Éireann’s ongoing efforts to safeguard the quality and reliability of the water supply for homes and businesses across the peninsula.

On Wednesday, 25 March, Uisce Éireann crews will be carrying out these works at reservoirs which may impact supply to customers in Moville Town and surrounding areas, as well as customers in Ballymacarthur and surrounding areas. Some customers may experience reduced water pressure, temporary discolouration, or intermittent supply during or after the works which will be carried out between 7am and 10pm tomorrow. 

Crews will endeavour to restore supply to normal levels as quickly as possible once works are completed.

Uisce Éireann’s Damien O’Sullivan said: “These reservoir cleaning works are essential to safeguarding the quality and reliability of the water supply for communities across Donegal. Our crews work carefully throughout the process to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum, and we thank customers for their patience while this important maintenance work continues.”
