Crews working to restore supply in Silvermines

Uisce Éireann crews are currently working to restore water supply to customers in Silvermines following an electrical fault at the nearby Dolla Booster Pumping Station.

Homes and businesses in Dolla, Mountisland, Curryquin, Erinagh, Crannahurt, Silvermines and the surrounding areas may experience intermittent disruption or low water pressure as a result of this electrical fault.

Expert water service crews were dispatched and are working to restore operations at the plant as quickly as possible. Works are scheduled to take place until 1pm this afternoon.    

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We would like to thank the local community for their patience and support while these repairs continue. We understand the inconvenience caused by an unplanned interruption to the water supply, and our crews are working hard on site to restore normal service as quickly and as safely as possible.”

Following completion of works, we recommend that you allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.

Some areas may continue to experience low pressure until tomorrow as the reservoir levels recover following the outage.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
