Crews working to restore supply in Dunshaughlin
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water supply to affected customers in the Dunshaughlin area after an outage at the town’s water treatment plant.
Crews have been working during the night and early this morning to get the situation under control and the water treatment plant back producing water.
Once the plant is back in production and the water tower refills to an acceptable level, the supply will be restored to the area.
Uisce Éireann's Enda Cully apologised for the inconvenience the outage has caused and assured customers that we are working to restore supply as quickly as possible.
“We acknowledge the impact that a planned outage has on our customers, and we assure affected customers that our crews will work as quickly as possible to complete the repairs and restore normal supply.”
Flushing crews will be in the area in coming week as part of a planned flushing programme to ensure water quality is at a high standard across the network.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann can request water. Anyone wishing to register as a vulnerable customer, or as an alternative contact, can do so on our Vulnerable Customers page.
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.
