Crews working to restore supply to customers in Tipperary Town
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in Tipperary Town after a mechanical issue resulted in low reservoir levels at the town’s Cordangan water Treatment Plant, where water levels were already low following recent operational issues.
Expert water service crews are on site working to restore operations at the plant as quickly as possible.
An alternative water supply will be available outside St Michaels A.F.C and Tipperary Town Graveyard until 10am on 18 February.
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and, as a precaution, boil the water before drinking.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We would like to thank the local community for their patience and support while these repairs continue. We understand the inconvenience caused by an unplanned interruption to the water supply, and our crews are working hard on site to restore normal service as quickly and as safely as possible.”
Following completion of works, customers may experience low water pressure or intermittent disruptions to supply as reservoir levels recover over the course of the day.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
