Crews working to restore supply to customers in Tipperary Town

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore normal water supply to 5,000 homes and businesses in Tipperary Town following an interruption at the town’s Cordangan Water Treatment Plant.

Expert water service crews were dispatched and are working to restore operations at the plant as quickly as possible. Works are scheduled to take place until 5pm this evening.

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We would like to thank the local community for their patience and support while these challenging and complex repairs continue. We understand the inconvenience caused by an unplanned interruption to the water supply, and our crews are working hard on site to restore normal service as quickly and as safely as possible.”

Following completion of works, we recommend that you allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
