Crews working to restore supply to customers in Croithlí and surrounding areas

Uisce Éireann crews are working to return water supply to customers in Croithlí, Anagaire, Loch an Iúir, Rann na Feirste, and surrounding areas this morning.
Due a mechanical issue encountered at Croithlí Water Treatment Plant last night, reservoir levels have fallen. This is impacting supply to some homes and businesses on Na Rosa Regional Public Water Supply Scheme.
Damien O’Sullivan of Uisce Éireann said work is ongoing to restore supply as quickly as possible.
“We acknowledge the impact of an outage such as this and we assure impacted customers that we are doing all we can to bring supply back to normal levels as quickly as possible. Our teams have worked through the night to resolve the issues, and the plant is now back in operation. However, we expect it will be this afternoon before supply returns to all customers,” said Damien.
It may take longer for supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network as the system recharges.
