Crews supporting emergency response to severe flooding in Dublin area
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann is continuing to support the emergency response to the severe flooding impacting parts of Dublin following significant rainfall last night.
The heavy rainfall resulted in some sewer flooding and impacts on wastewater infrastructure in the area. Crews have been working throughout the day and have made good progress in resolving most of these issues. We will continue to monitor the situation and assess the impacts on wastewater infrastructure.
In relation to the flooding of a basement in the Clongriffin area, while our initial investigations indicate that this was not caused by any Uisce Éireann infrastructure, our crews remain on site and are providing assistance and support to Dublin City Council in the pumping and clean up operation.
Our teams will continue to work closely with local authorities and emergency services to monitor flooding, manage network performance, and carry out repairs where it is required and safe to do so.
Further assessments of the situation will be carried out as floodwaters recede and conditions allow safe entry to all affected sites.
