Crews restore supply to customers in Lough Mourne Water Supply Zone following trunk main burst

Water supply has returned to customers affected by a significant burst on a trunk main in the Lough Mourne Public Water Supply Zone in Co Donegal.

The burst, which impacted customers in Stranorlar, Ballybofey, Liscooley, Raphoe, Convoy, Rooskey, Carnowen, Beltany, Drumkeen, Stralongford, Admiran, Dunwiley, Cloghroe, and surrounding areas, was repaired following intensive works by Uisce Éireann crews.

Repairs were carried out in challenging conditions due to the nature and location of the burst, and Uisce Éireann thanks customers for their patience and cooperation while crews worked to safely repair the leak and restore normal supply as quickly as possible.

Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption caused by this unplanned outage and would like to thank affected communities for their understanding while works were completed.
