Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews have located and isolated a burst water main which is affecting supply to homes and businesses in Castlebar.
Uisce Éireann customers in the Moneen, Breaffy Road and Breaffy Village areas of the town may be experiencing some intermittent outages or other supply disruptions as a consequence of this burst.
The network is being backfilled with reservoir supplies in order to minimise outages and customers in the Moneen and Breaffy Village areas can expect their supply to return in the next hour.
Crews have successfully isolated the burst to the residential areas of Ashwood and The Cedars.
Supply is expected to return to impacted customers in Ashwood and The Cedars at approximately 5pm this evening.
Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann said crews will work as quickly as possible to repair the burst and restore normal supply.
“We understand the inconvenience caused by an unplanned outage, and we thank impacted customers for their patience as our crews work to resolve the issue,” said Colette.
