Lifford’s water supply has received a major boost following Uisce Éireann’s successful completion of a 1km water mains replacement project along the N15 at The Haw.
This important work has delivered a significant reduction in leakage and improved water quality for homes and businesses in the Lifford area.
The project also involved the installation of new water service connections from the public water main to customer boundaries, further strengthening supply in the area.
Uisce Éireann’s Programme Manager, Patricia Lowry, welcomed the completion of the works and thanked the local community for their cooperation while this essential project was underway: “Replacing this stretch of water mains along the N15 at The Haw has delivered long-term benefits for our customers, including improved water quality and greater confidence in their supply. Our crews worked hard to minimise disruption, and we are grateful to the local community for their patience and support as we delivered these essential works.”
Farrans Construction carried out the works on behalf of Uisce Éireann.
