Alternative water supply in place for overnight outage in Tower

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is advising customers in the Tower area of Cork of a water outage which is impacting on their supply this evening.

Due to a pump failure, Uisce Éireann customers in Tower, Blarney, Tower Hill, Kerry Road, Model Village, Woodlands, Bawnafinny, Dromin Drive, Saint Philomena's Estate and surrounding areas may be experiencing disruption to their supply.

Works to resolve the issue are ongoing and it is estimated that normal supply will be restored by 9am on Tuesday morning.

An alternative water supply in the form of a tanker has been made available for impacted customers. This is available at St Senan’s Graveyard on Kerry Road.

Customers are reminded to bring their own containers when drawing water from the tanker, and to boil the water before use as a precautionary measure.

Michael Bell of Uisce Éireann thanked impacted customers for their understanding while works to restore normal supply are ongoing.
“We acknowledge the impact of an unplanned outage and we wish to thank customers for their co-operation while repair works are in progress,” said Michael.
