Two Mile House Water Network Upgrade

Uisce Éireann is constructing new water infrastructure in Two Mile House, Co Kildare to support future growth and development in the area.

The works involve the construction of 4.2km of new water mains to cater for the future growth and development of the Two Mile House area of Co. Kildare. These works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s Growth and Development Programme and works are expected to commence in early July 2025.

The section of works will take place in stages in Two Mile House Village; Two Mile House to R448; R448 to Mullacash Middle; and Mullacash Middle to Swordlestown North.

A traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

This project is being delivered to support existing and future developments within the community. It will improve the capacity of the existing water network in the area, improving performance and reducing demands on the current network.

The works will be carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Shareridge Ltd and are expected to be completed by Q4 2025.

Will customers be affected by the works?

Works will require localised lane and road closures, which will be phased to minimise disruption to the community.

Traffic management will be communicated locally in advance of each phase commencing.

The works may involve some short-term water interruptions, and the project team will ensure that customers are given a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to any planned water interruptions.

We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and works crews will make every effort to minimise any disruption these necessary works cause.
