Kilgarvan Water Supply Scheme

Water Supply Project

Uisce Éireann has completed works to upgrade the water treatment plant in Kilgarvan, Co Kerry.

Uisce Éireann has completed works to upgrade Kilgarvan Water Treatment Plant. This €600,000 investment will benefit 749 customers ensuring the delivery of a clean, safe drinking water source, and remove this area from the EPA’s Remedial Action List (RAL). Cantwell Electrical Engineering Ltd. delivered these works on behalf of Uisce Éireann.

The Kilgarvan Public Water Supply (PWS) was on the EPA Remedial Action List (RAL) for elevated concentrations of Trihalomethanes (THMs) above the drinking standards. The upgrades will now provide a more advanced water treatment process, improving the drinking water quality, benefitting the people of Kilgarvan and the surrounding area.
