Growth and Development Programme - North Drogheda Wastewater Network Upgrade

Uisce Éireann is investing €22m in new wastewater infrastructure for North Drogheda to support future growth and development.

The works involve the construction of a new wastewater pumping station off Twenties Lane and the installation of over 1km of rising main between Twenties Lane and Ballymakenny Road, and 1.3km of gravity sewer from Ballymakenny Road to the junction of Dunlin Street and Teal Street in Ashton Village.

These works, representing a €20m investment, are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s Growth and Development Programme, and commenced in July 2025.

This project is being delivered to support existing and future developments within the community. It will improve the capacity of the existing wastewater network in the area, improving performance and reducing demands on the current network.

The works are being carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by GMC Utilities Group Ltd. and are expected to be completed in 2027.
