Growth and Development Programme - Enfield Water Supply Scheme
Uisce Éireann is upgrading the water infrastructure at Enfield , Co Meath to support future growth and development in the area.
The works involve the upgrade of the water supply in Enfield, Co. Meath to cater for the future growth and development of the wider Enfield area. The project will involve the installation of approx. 8km of new watermain and the construction of a Secondary Chlorination Unit. These works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s Growth and Development Programme and are expected to commence in the coming months.
The section of works will take place from L5030/Kilbride Road junction along the L5028 and L1007, crossing underneath the M4 Motorway on to R148 to a connection point at Lidl roundabout in Enfield.
This project is being delivered to support existing and future developments within the community. It will improve the supply capacity of the existing water network in the area, improving performance and reducing demands on the current network.
The works will be carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Coffey Construction Ltd and are expected to be completed by Q2 2026.

Will customers be affected by the works?
Site investigation works to confirm the route will commence shortly. Subject to necessary consents, it is envisaged that construction works will commence in the coming months. Traffic management plans will be published when the contractor has mobilised and has secure necessary consents.
