Uisce Éireann has completed the replacement of ageing water mains between Gortahork and Falcarragh, Co. Donegal. These water mains renewal works were carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's national Leakage Reduction Programme.

Steps
- The works involved the decommissioning and replacement of approximately 1.7 kilometres of ageing water mains between Gortahork and Falcarragh
- The existing pipes were replaced with new modern high density polyethylene plastic pipes
- The works also involved laying new water service connections from the public water main in the road to customers' property boundaries and connecting it to the customer's water supply
