Carraroe to Drumiskabole Crossroads Water Mains Replacement
Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Sligo County Council carried out leakage reduction works in Carraroe National School to Drumiskabole Crossroads which provided a more reliable water supply and reduced high levels of leakage.
The works involved the replacement of almost 2000 Meters of problematic water mains with new modern pipes. The programme that replaced the water mains in Carraroe National School to Drumiskabole Crossroads commenced in mid-May. These works were carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme.
The section of works took place along the R284 from Carraroe National School to Drumiskabole.
The works also involved laying new water service connections from the public water main in the road to customers' property boundaries and connected it to the customers' water supply.
The works were carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Farrans Construction and were completed by May 2025.
