Campile Water Mains Replacement
Uisce Éireann is carrying out leakage reduction works in Campile, Co Wexford to provide a more reliable water supply and reduce high levels of leakage.
The works involve the replacement of almost 1.85km of old and damaged water mains with new modern pipes. The programme to replace the water mains from Campile to Kilmanock will commence in late spring. These works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme.
The section of works will take place on the R733 near Dunbrody Bridge and will run as far as Abbey View via Horeswood, along the L4305 road to Campile village.
The works will also involve laying new water service connections from the public water main in the road to customers’ property boundaries and connecting it to the customers’ water supply.
The works will be carried out by Shareridge Ltd. on behalf of Uisce Éireann and are expected to be completed by early summer.

Will customers be affected by the works?
Areas of work will be limited to short sections to minimise impact on customers. Traffic management will be in place at this time, in the form of a stop / go system and traffic lights.
A temporary road closure on the L4305 will be in place from 20 April to 29 May 2026, a diversion will be in place. However, local and emergency traffic will always be maintained.
We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and works crews will make every effort to minimise any disruption these necessary works cause.
