Ballyvaughan Sewerage Scheme

Wastewater Project

Works are underway for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare.

In June 2024, Uisce Éireann commenced works to construct a new wastewater treatment plant which will benefit our environment and the people of Ballyvaughan for decades to come.

The multi-million-euro investment will serve a population equivalent of 1,050.

Untreated wastewater in the Ballyvaughan area currently discharges into the Bay. The discharge of untreated wastewater threatens water quality, detracts from the amenity value of the area and does not comply with EU regulations relating to the treatment of wastewater.

EPS Group is delivering the works on behalf of Uisce Éireann.
