Arklow Wastewater Treatment Plant

On 5 September 2018, Uisce Éireann published notice of a planning application to An Bord Pleanála, in respect of a Strategic Infrastructure Development, to progress the Arklow Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. We also published notice of a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) for the project, a planning application and EIAR to An Bord Pleanála.

The application may also be viewed/downloaded from Thursday, 20 September 2018 on the Arklow planning website at www.arklowwastewater.ie.

In November, 2017 Uisce Éireann closed the third round of non-statutory public consultation. The final report is available at Arklow Consultation Report.

Public Consultation to date

A number of public consultations have been undertaken to date on the Arklow Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. The purpose of these consultations was to invite feedback from statutory bodies, interested parties and the general public on the project.

These consultations ran on the following dates:

  • Consultation 1: 15 Oct 2014 – 12 Dec 2014
  • Consultation 2: 15 May 2015 – 10 July 2015
  • Consultation 3: 11 Oct 2017 – 15 Nov 2017
