Irish Water is currently seeking feedback on a preferred site for a Regional Biosolids Storage Facility (RBSF) for greater Dublin including parts of Kildare, Meath and Wicklow. The preferred site at Newtown/Kilshane, Dublin 11 will serve Ringsend along with other key infrastructure in the Dublin Region. Details of the public consultation process and Irish Water’s proposed site for this facility, when confirmed, will be included in the planning application for the upgrade to the Ringsend plant. For further details on how to get involved in this public consultation or more details on the Regional Biosolids Storage Facility please visit the Biosolids section.
Irish Water intends to apply to An Bord Pleanála in 2018 for permission to implement the revised project, including the provision for a Regional Biosolids Storage Facility.
