Works underway to repair burst on Navan Road, Dublin 15

Uisce Éireann is currently carrying out repairs following a burst to a water main on the Navan Road, Dublin 15.

Customers along the Navan Road, Ashington, Kempon, Ashtown, Blackhorse Avenue, Mckee Avenue, Kinvara, Morgans Place, the N3 and N6 Business Park and surrounding areas in Dublin 15 may be experiencing a disruption to their supply or loss of pressure.

A crew is currently on site, and it is expected that works will be completed by 6pm this evening. 

Tselopile Tlou, Water Network Operations Manager, Uisce Éireann, said: “The repair is being conducted as quickly and as efficiently as possible. We understand the inconvenience an unplanned outage can have on our customers and appreciate their patience as we work to return normal water supply as quickly as possible.”

Once water is restored, customers may experience temporary discolouration as the network refills. If this occurs, Uisce Éireann recommends running the cold kitchen tap until the water runs clear. 

Following repair works, it typically takes three to four hours for normal supply to return to all customers as the network refills, particularly for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
